About the project
Kevin and Louise were getting married. It was their second marriage each and this time around they wanted to get rid of all the paper and postage that comes with sending out invites and information.
I created a website for them, using a premium WordPress theme. I helped them edit the site with all the content they needed with details of the day’s events, accommodation options and travel information.
Invites were sent out via email using Mailchimp and I wrote a custom WordPress plugin to manage RSVPs directly from clicking a button on the email invitation. The plugin would automatically capture the users email address, name and additional named guests – all from clicking the link in the email. This meant that replying to the RSVP was quick and easy with only some optional dietary requirement fields to fill in.
Closer to the date of the wedding, I updated the site for them ensuring that travel details were as obvious as possible, along with a call to action to tag wedding photos with a specific hashtag, so we could gather those photos later.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″]
