[vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]The team behind Chris Country (a guy called Chris) wanted a nicer way of allowing his audience to listen to the radio stream rather than having to copy a URL and put it into iTunes!

Fortunately a friend had recently released a bit of Open Source code that made for designing a HTML5 audio MP3 stream relatively simple.

I then had to turn it into a WordPress plugin so it could be installed and mix in with the rest of the content from Chris Country.

The next part of the project is to display in real time, some live ‘now playing’ data.

The data was provided to me as a text file direct from the station’s playout system. I then bought it into to WordPress and displayed it on the pop up player and on the main website pages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
